SquishFM started as a weekend project. I was frustrated with mobile beat apps that were either too simple to be useful or so cluttered they were impossible to learn. I wanted something that felt like a real instrument.

After months of building, tweaking pad sensitivity algorithms, and obsessing over sample quality, SquishFM became the drum machine I always wanted in my pocket. 16 pads that actually respond to how hard you hit them. A sequencer that gets out of your way. Export that just works.

The app is built with a local-first philosophy: your music lives on your device, not on some server. No account required, no cloud sync to worry about, no internet needed. Your beats are yours.
